Join thousands of people all across the country for the 13th Annual UK Recovery Walk.

Why?

Each year in the UK September is a month in which people in recovery are recognised and celebrated.

This year Newcastle is hosting a walk and people in recovery, their families and their friends are invited to come along to take part in this celebration.

When?

The walk takes place on 18th September 2021 and starts at 12pm.

Where?

You can join the walk at either Byker Sands Family Centre (19 Raby Cross, Newcastle NE6 2FF) or Fenham Library (Fenham Hall Drive, Fenham NE4 9XD).

Wherever you choose to start from, the walk will end at George Street Social where there will be an after walk party to celebrate people in recovery. There will be free food available, children’s entertainment and speakers.

We encourage people to wear something purple, but don’t worry if you don’t have anything, being there is enough.
